Method Made SF is pleased to share the wire sculpture work of Bay Area native, Oakland-based artist, Matthew Berkowitz Lopez.
With most wire work made utilizing mainly a blowtorch and pliers, his work could be best described as “medium brow”, surreal, and uncomplicated with subject matter inspired by the mundane and silly aspects of daily life.
Pieces dating back to 2012 have been known to pop up in galleries, hostel front desks, and Jake’s house.
