In homage to our duty as curators of our space (Method Made SF Gallery) and the various creatives we have the opportunity to hang the beautiful artworks of every day, we wanted to create a garment that represents the aesthetic life of a curator.
In our creative brainstorming sessions with Patrick and our team, we discussed our experiences working collectively in various gallery settings and swapped stories of those long working from 6 PM - 6 AM the following (ONE Exhibition with Deadeyes) and the times that nails flew back in our face from banging nails into concrete walls...
With this design, we felt that artists, gallerists, and those who frequent gallery spaces that are well-hung could appreciate all that goes into the planning and execution of the walls many of us spend hours staring at.
Being an art curator is not the life for all, but it is the life we live. And that is our #methodmade
